Just wanted to post a photo from my hiking excursion with Nick last weekend. Versailles State Park (prounounced VEHR-SALES, famously) was beautiful, and despite it being cold, it was a nice day of hiking. This was taken on my little Canon point & shoot.

Since it was a beautiful afternoon in Bloomington, I decided to take a walk outside and enjoy the beginning of fall. The trees are just starting to turn a golden shade of yellow around Griffy Lake, and I’m sure by next weekend the entire forest will be gorgeous. I’ll have to make sure I get out again next weekend to take more photos.

This photo is actually three photos I took of a forest giant – a landmark maple tree that’s ages older than any of the other trees around it. The full set of photos is on Flicker here.
