Today is the first day of classes, and it’s also the 12th straight day Bloomington hasn’t seen temperatures above freezing. With the first day of classes came a choice: should I bring my SLR camera to campus with me every day, or rely on my point-and-shoot Canon to get the job done? Today I opted for the latter, but in the future I’m going with the former. While today’s photo is fine, I wish I had my SLR with me for two reasons: one, it would have allowed me to get a better picture of the action on the pond, and two, it’s hard to approach strangers and take their photo when you’re holding a point and shoot camera. If you’re holding an SLR, they might take you seriously. Regardless, today’s picture is fun because I’ve never seen people playing hockey on that pond!
